McAfee® Total Protection
Guide on how to install and activate McAfee antivirus.
After a successful purchase of McAfee, you will receive an email with the license code and the subject:
“McAfee Total Protection 3-Year 1-Device (Digital License). Invoice”
Please find and click on “click here” option in that email to start the activation and installation process.
Once done, you will be redirected to the activation page. Now, you need to enter your code in the "Activation code (25 digits)” field and fill in your email address in the ”Email” section.
Click "Next"
Important Note: Once you've entered your license code and email, you will be automatically redirected to a page asking for your payment information. You don't need to fill this in - click to go back to the previous page.
You will see the message “You already redeemed that code“. Enter your email address again in the ”Email” field and click Next.
After successful activation, you will see the confirmation that your code has been redeemed. Once done, please check your email inbox.
Open your inbox, and find the email with the subject “You've activated your McAfee subscription - what's next? “.
Click on the “Install“ button for Windows.
You will be redirected to the McAfee website with the option to download the antivirus application.
Click “Download“.
Click “Agree and Download“
Click on the downloaded file to begin the installation.
In case you cannot find the downloaded file, check out the following screenshot showing how to open the folder containing the downloaded files.
IMPORTANT - Click YES to allow this app to make changes to your device (if prompted)
Click “Install“ to start the installation process.
The installation process might take a while. Usually, it takes up to 5-10 minutes.
When the installation process is finished, you will see the “Your McAfee app is installed!” window.
Click on the “Close“ button.
Open your McAfee application and click on the “Get Started “ button.
McAfee Total Protection has successfully been installed on your PC!
