Uninstall/Delete PC App Store on Windows 11 and Windows 10

Closing PC App Store: 

Find the "Show hidden icons" menu at the bottom right part of the screen:

Open the menu and locate the PC App Store icon:

Click on the icon and select "Exit" to close PC App Store:

For Windows 11:

Step 1 - Accessing Settings

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. From the menu, select Settings.

Step 2 - Accessing Installed Apps

  1. In Settings, click on Apps.
  2. Select Installed apps from the menu.

Step 3 - Uninstalling 

  1. In the Installed apps section, use the search bar to locate PC App Store.
  2. Click the three dots on the right side.

  3. Select Uninstall.
  4. On the " Use Account Control " prompt choose Yes because uninstalling is a change that you need to allow your computer to do.

Step 4 -Task Manager (optional)

For your reassurance, we recommend checking the Task Manager after the uninstallation.


    Opening Task Manager

    1. Go to the Start menu.

    2. Use the search bar to find Task Manager.

    3. Click Open.

    Closing Background Processes

    1. In Task Manager, use the search bar to look for any processes related to PC App Store.
    2. Select all associated background processes.
    3. Click End task to close them.

    For Windows 10:

    Step 1 - Open Settings:

    1. Click the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

    2. Click on the Settings gear icon

    Step 2 - Navigate to Apps:

    1. In the Settings window, click on Apps.

    2. Then, click on Apps & features in the left-hand menu.

    Step 3 - Find and Uninstall PC App Store Application:

    1. Scroll through the list of installed applications or use the search bar to find the app you want to uninstall.

    2. Click on the application name.

    3. Click the Uninstall button.

    4. Confirm your decision by clicking Uninstall again if prompted.

    5. Follow any on-screen instructions that may appear from the application's uninstaller.
